Penny (Reeves) Summers, age 76, of Arvada, CO, passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Wednesday June 23, 2021, after a long and valiant battle with health ailments.
Penny was born August 7, 1944, in Success, Arkansas. She was 6 of 7 siblings and the first-born daughter.
Penny married the love of her life, William Paul Summers, Sr., on June 13, 1964. They recently celebrated 57 wonderful years together surrounded by family.
Penny was a woman of strong Christian faith, devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She touched many people and made a lasting impression on all those who were lucky enough to have met her. A retired entrepreneur, small business owner, cosmetologist, and mortgage broker and a pillar of her community, she was a great friend to many and never met a stranger.
Penny will join her beloved son William Paul Summers, Jr. in heaven, who preceded her in death in 2015.
Survived by sister, Janice Kay Martin; Children, Alyssa Summers and Kay McCormack (husband Robert McCormack); daughter-in-law, Tammy Liscomb Summers; Niece, Shon Turnage; Grandchildren, Jasmine Bartlett (husband Matthew Bartlett), Brittany Hamilton, Chelsea Summers (fiancé Wade Thompson), Krista Hardardt (husband Dan Hardardt), Kaitlyn Summers, Daniel Nabus, Darren Nabus, J.J Turnage, William McCormack, Paul Nabus, and Catherine McCormack; Great-Grandchildren, Austin Bartlett, Brooklyn Bartlett, and Lillian Thompson.
