Penny Katy (Ingram) OToole, of St. Charles, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on May 28, 2024, at the age of 66.Penny was born on October 21, 1957, the daughter of Hubert and Leota (Haemmerlein) Ingram. She graduated from Powers High School in Flint in 1975, and went on to achieve her associates degree in art from Mott Community College. She married her husband, David James OToole on January 13, 1978, in Mount Morris. They were married 44 years before his passing in 2022.Penny was very involved in the community and the church. She was an active member at the Mary of Immaculate Conception Church in St. Charles. She started and maintained the Faith In Action Group at the church, Altar serving, and taught Catechism classes. She was an active volunteer in the East Side Soup Kitchen in Saginaw, the CAER Center in Chesaning, a past Girl Scout Leader for many years, she also coached her childrens Softball and Soccer. Penny also enjoyed quilting, crafting, gardening, rocking her grandchildren, and sharing a good laugh with her friends and family. Maintaining her friendships from high school and years past was something very important to her.Left to cherish her memory are her children, Katie OToole, Lindsay (Mike) Ballor, David (Erica) OToole, Amber (Mike) Dudzik, Darnell (Mike) Piazza, Ian (Cristy) OToole; grandchildren, Jack, Brody, Erin, Jamie, Oliver, Zeke, Hudson, and Joel; and many very close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, David OToole; parents, Hubert and Leota Ingram; sister, Dianne; brother, Robert Butch, and daughter-in-law, Aki OToole.
