Penelope Pursell, better known as Penny, died of natural causes on July 1, 2018. Penny was born December 18, 1928.
She was well known to the Flagstaff music community as a music teacher in the Flagstaff Unified School District, a private music teacher, and music leader and pianist for several churches.
She received a masters degree in music from Rutgers University. Penny touched many lives, and will be sincerely missed.
She is survived by son Kim Pursell, grandson David Pursell, granddaughter Shelley Pursell, brother Harold Bjorklund, brother Marvin Bjorklund, and three great-grandchildren.
