Peggy Williams Britt, 83, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.
Peggy was a native and lifelong resident of Randolph County. She worked for many years at Klopman Mills in Ramseur before joining her husband Tom in their family business, Britt’s Laundry. Peggy attended Ramseur Wesleyan Church and devoted herself to caring for her children, grandchildren, and especially her beloved husband, Tom. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Garald Britt, son-in-law, Buster Leonard, parents, Royster and Pearl Morgan Williams, sister, Jean Brewer, and husband, Lee, and her brother, Jack Williams.
Survivors: daughters, Freda Leonard, of Franklinville, Vada Bullard, of Asheboro, Elizabeth Poole, and husband, Randy, of Salisbury, son, Ricky Britt and wife, Sam, of Asheboro, brother, Billy Williams, and wife, Tennie, of Robbins, eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
