Peggy Wallace Cole was born September 29, 1924, in Comanche County Texas. She passed away on September 11, 2022, in Haslet, Texas. She is preceded by husband, Lt. Col. Jack H. Cole, USA Ret.; brother, Gilbert S. Wallace; grandsons, Dr. Shawn P. Williams, and Dr. James E. Williams; parents, D.T. Wallace, and Opal Garner Wallace.

She is survived by daughter Linda Williams (Jim); stepsons, Paul C. Cole (Linda), and Peter C. Cole (Pamela); grandchildren, Lisa Williams Morgan, Matthew Cole, Lauren Cole, and Eliza Cole; eight great-grandchildren, Samantha Morgan, Brittney Stvartak (Jacob), Jonathan Morgan, Matthew Morgan, Sydney Morgan, Cathy Williams, Kaylie Morgan, and Alex Williams. As well as two great-great-grandchildren, Wyatt Stvartak, and Evie Stvartak; as well as her very special friends in Albuquerque and Texas.

Peggy graduated from high school in Monahan’s, Texas. She attended Draughn’s Business College in Lubbock, Texas. She also attended the University of Texas in Austin as well as Albuquerque University in New Mexico.

Peggy lived for over 40 years in Albuquerque, NM, and was retired from Sandia National Laboratories. She sang in the Sweet Adeline’s, a ladies’ barbershop harmony organization. After retiring from that, she was a member of a group of women who loved to sing called the Goodtime Gals in Albuquerque. They performed at various retirement communities that enjoyed their music. She loved to sing, and her happiest moments were rehearsing for the next sing-out.

Peggy and her husband Jack loved to travel, taking over 40 cruises and many other trips traveling to locations all over the world before he died. She had many wonderful memories and pictures to remind her of the good times they had.

Peggy spent the last several years of her life with her daughter Linda and her family in Texas. It is there that those that loved her and cherished the time they spent with her surrounded her. She worked hard and enjoyed life.
