Peggy Sue Gordon Rogers completed the story of her earthly life on the evening of September 24, 2017. The sweet story of her love filled life began on August 25, 1944 in Newnan, where she was born to the late Morene and Preston Gordon. She spent her childhood in the neighborhood of the Arnco community. Her parents were iconic figures in that community and in the life of Arnco Baptist Church of which Peggy was a lifelong member. Peggy found perfect love in her marriage to Ray Rogers. It was a story that would unfold for 56 years full of love and family and would find them inseparable for the course of their marriage. As you might expect, nothing came before the importance of family bonds in Peggy’s life and her children and grandchildren knew that every day and in every way. There was never a doubt about her priorities in life. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children Joy Pannell and her husband Kevin; Jay Rogers and his wife Allison. Showered with grandmotherly love were Lauren Pannell Cash, David Pannell, Rachel Pannell, Adam Pannell, Anna Grace Rogers and Caroline Rogers. Her great grandchild is Emily Kate Cash. Also surviving is her sister Betty Ann Perry and her husband Thomas.
