Born September 2, 1948 in San Bernardino, California to Robert and Lorraine Meek.

Peggy lived in many states and even out of the United States due to her dad being active military. She lived in San Bernardino, California; Chicago, Illinois; Las Vegas, Nevada and the Philippines until finally moving back to Utah to be by family.

She graduated from Ogden High School

Peggy married Harold Davis on September 16, 1972 and remained married until his passing in 1987.

She worked for the Bureau of Reclamation (Hoover Dam) for 7 years and then she worked for the Internal Revenue Service. Retiring from there in 2015.

During her marriage she had two beautiful daughters born only a day and a year apart. They may not have been twins but had combined birthdays every year all through their childhood.

Peggy loved her daughters dearly and loved watching them grow up into mothers and grandmothers of their own. She enjoyed all her grandkids and great-grandkids.  The great granddaughters loved showing her their painted fingernails and dresses and she loved that.

She met Nathan and began a life partner relationship that continued for 34 years. They enjoyed taking trips to Alaska and many other states. They loved having BBQ’s and family get togethers and enjoyed life to the fullest. Nathan was her best friend and life partner and loved her dearly.

Peggy had a love of sewing and made numerous aprons and decorative kitchen towels. Her talent shined through her work. She had a love for the outdoors. She enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. She had a corvette and loved to enter it into the Car Shows. She loved the attention from that. After Retirement she decided to buy property up to Sun Ridge and she enjoyed that every time she went up there. She enjoyed watching the moose walk through her property every morning and every evening among all the deer and other wildlife. After she got her property she decided it was time to turn in the corvette for her dream Jeep. She enjoyed being taught how to work her winch on the jeep while up on her property to move dead trees and to use her 4WD.

She LOVED to meet anyone new. She would meet befriend anyone she came in contact with. She was the light where-ever she went.

I want to give a special thanks to Kelly McGuire – Reads Leather Shop for giving my mom a feeling of purpose in her last year of life so that she just didn’t sit home and think about her illness. Up until just a couple of months ago mom would go to Reads Leather to help Kelly do his sewing of his canvas tent orders while he worked on his saddle and leather orders. This brought her so much joy to her. She felt she had a purpose in life again instead of just sitting home being sick. She was one strong woman and pushed through the pain and sickness to feel alive.

I also want to give a special Thanks to Nathan for taking such great care of mom. He got her to and from so many medical appointments and had many sleepless nights worrying about her these past couple of months. He was a wonderful caregiver to her and his loved showed through.

Thank you to Dr. Gilcrease and his staff, the home nurses and the Huntsman’s Cancer institute.

Peggy was preceded in death by her spouse Harold Davis; parents Robert & Lorraine Meek; sibling – newborn; Brother, Michael Meek and Father of life partner, Jack Clark.
