Peggie King Johnson of Atlanta, Georgia passed away peacefully December 1,
2022 at home surrounded by her family and loved ones.

Peggie Jean, born March 15, 1934 to Esther Frances and Archie Ray King in
Franklin County, MS where she resided for almost 20 years. After graduating
high school she joined her sister Betty and husband Joseph “Joe” Farquhar in
Quitman, GA where she met her husband of 52 years, James “Jim” Riley
Johnson. After their marriage in 1956, they immediately moved to Atlanta, GA.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Sunday school teacher, and Girl
Scout leader. Jim and Peggie also enjoyed many exciting years as members of
the American Saddlebred Association of Georgia.

Peggie was predeceased by her husband, James Riley Johnson, parents, Esther
Frances and Archie Ray King, brothers, Charles Lindberg King, Richard Kenneth
King and sister, Betty King Farquhar. She is survived by her daughters Beverly
Jan Riddle and her husband Robert of Atlanta, Cynthia Jill Phillips and her
husband David of Atlanta, and Jodi Frances Johnson of Atlanta, grandchildren
Christian, Tyler, Eric, Caroline, Kaitlyn, Riley, Julia and great grandchild, Maxwell.
