Peggy Joan Barg Bennett, 80, Anderson, passed peacefully from this life early April 17, 2009, following a brief illness. She was born July 23, 1928, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. The family moved to Anderson in 1937. Peggy lived in Anderson for the rest of her life. She graduated from Anderson High School, class of 1946.

Peggy worked at Delco Remy and Guide Lamp for 22 years, when she retired in 1987. She attended Crossroads United Methodist Church, was a member of Xi Beta Lamba Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, and bowled in the Wednesday Morning Play Girls League for 48 years.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Kenneth W. Kenny Bennett; two daughters, Debra and husband, Gary Buck of Alexandria, and Dr. Beverly Seffrin and husband, Kevin MacDonald of Delaware, Ohio; grandson, Vincent Buck & wife, Katie of Fishers; siblings: Geneva Ginny Hanson of Middletown and Lyle and wife, Mary Barg of Fishers; sisters-in-law, Lois Kenny, and Cuba Hull; brother-in-law, Laurel M. and wife Carol Bennett; her best friend, Helen L. Smith; her bowling friends, including Pat Danner, and 1946 classmates; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her sister, Lauraine Reeder Coe; sister-in-law, Barbara Bell, and brother-in-law, Paul Bennett.
