Peggy F. Sheeler, age 84, of Westminster, Maryland died peacefully on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at the Carroll Hospice Dove House.
Born August 15, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Moore Faulkner. She was predeceased by her husband Jack A. Sheeler in 1988.
Peg was a registered nurse and graduated from Maryland General Hospital nursing program. She was the executive director for Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland, worked for the Baltimore City Commission on Aging & Retirement Education, and Family and Children’s Society. She had served with the Delaware-Maryland Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, and Board of Trustees for Carroll Lutheran Village. She served on the church council of St. Luke’s (Winters) Lutheran Church New Windsor, where she was an active member.
Surviving Peg are daughters, Karen Sheeler St. Jean of Sykesville and Lois E. Sheeler-Duncan and husband Ken of Kingsville; grandchildren, Jeannette Hitchcock and husband Jim, Eddie St. Jean III and wife Katie, Allison S. Duncan, Stephanie S. Smith and husband Zach, and Rebecca S. Duncan; great-grandchildren, Riley, Jack, Ellie, and Gracie; sister-in-law, Delores Sheeler of Westminster; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
