Peggy Downum Tucker, 72, of Cleveland passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2022 in Salisbury.
Born in Mooresville, NC on March 18, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee Downum and the late Minnie Boger Downum.
Peggy enjoyed working as a farmer service agent for the United States Department of Agriculture. She was loved by all the farmers she helped. Peggy was a member of Sherrills Ford Baptist Church where she loved and was loved by all. Peggy received her associate degree from Mitchell Community College. She loved all her family especially her great-grandchildren. Peggy is with the Lord. For many years she served Jesus faithfully. The love of God was reflected in her smile, a quiet spirit, but for sure a Godly spirit. Today she is with our savior, the one that she longed to see for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Alvin Tucker.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, James Talbert (Paige) of Concord and David Talbert of Cleveland; daughter, Rebecca Boardman of Salisbury; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
