Peggy Deloris Berry, 76, of Flintstone went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 18, 2022, 6 days after the passing of her loving husband of 53 years, Lawrence “Butch” Berry, Jr. Peggy was born November 13, 1946 in Tupelo, Mississippi, to the late Earl and Odean Smith. She retired from the Walker County School System as a P.E. teacher where she was a beloved softball coach taking the team to 5 state championships. Peggy is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Don Morgan.
Survivors include her daughters, Brooks (Kevin) Thompson, Aimee (Michael) Evans and Erin (Jonathan) Clark; sister, Earline Morgan, grandchildren, Shelby (Jake) Butcher, Regan, Jackson, Lelia, Frazier, Chaney Beth and Nathan, niece, Leslie (Scott) Messer and nephew Brian (Annette)Morgan, great niece and nephews, Morgan and Katelyn Messer, Bre, Mary, and Joseph Morgan.
