Peggy Anita Williams, age, 64, of England, left this Earth to be with the Lord early Sunday morning, July 15, 2018. To those who loved her most, she was “Sweetie”. Peggy was born on July 18, 1953 in Pine Bluff, AR. to Bernus Lee and Lydia Marie White Wood. She spent her early years around Sherrill and Wright, and then graduated from Northeast High School in North Little Rock, after the family moved to Rose City in 1958. She married Dwight Martin in 1971, with whom she had her only son, Jason. She later married Stanley Williams of Altheimer.
Peggy lived in England for most of her adult life, and was known to many in the community, having worked at the England Hospital, AP&L, Tex-a-gas, and Farmers Supply over the years . She later worked for Dr. Doug Coleman in Pine Bluff, managing his office for over 20 years, all while keeping Stan straightened out on the farm. She loved nothing more then spending time with her grandson and going to his baseball games, as well as gardening, fishing, and boating on the river. She was a proud Marine mom.
She leaves behind her loving husband of 35 years, Stan Williams, son Jason (Amber) Martin of England, step son Eric (Justin) Williams of Dallas Texas, sister Debbie (Pete) Edmondson of Scott, her cherished grandson, Dane, and several special nephews, John David Martin, Scott Treadway and Donald Edmondson
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Wood.
