Mr. Guzman died Saturday in a Temple hospital. He was born October 19, 1946 in Pendleton to Nicholas M. and Maria Del Refugio Guardiola Guzman. He attended Troy schools and later moved to Belton. He married Maria L. Santos on June 24, 1972 in Mexico.
He worked for many years for Mobil Chemical and later for C&H Die Casting, Temple Daily Telegram and also as a correction officer at the state prison in Bartlett. He was a founding member of Christ the King Catholic Church where he was a Eucharistic Minister and Reader, Sunday School Teacher, singer and a Guadaupanos-Cursillista.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Guzman of Morgan’s Point Resort, 2 sons, Pedro N. Guzman and Alberto Antonio Guzman both of Morgan’s Point Resort, 2 daughters, Veronica M. Guzman of Morgan’s Point Resort and Ebisa B. Guzman of Brownsville, 2 brothers, Lorenzo Guzman of Belton and Nicolas G. Guzman of Rockdale, 3 sisters, Elma Soles of Temple, Janie Barba of Temple and Mary Carpenter of McGregor and 1 grandchild, Anita Maria Guzman.
