On Saturday December 3, 2016, The gates of heaven opened, and our angel Pete flew home. He passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on 10/19/1933 in Karnes City, Texas, but moved and lived in Harlingen for most of his life.
He is survived by his beautiful wife of 63 years, Paulina Zamarripa Elizondo, two sons, Armando (Flora) Elizondo, Gerardo Elizondo, seven daughters, Ana (Eddie) Villafranca, Gloria (Nick) Guerrero, Beatrice (Robert) Moreno, Elva (David) Montelongo, Hilda the late (+David) Vilt, Leticia (Juan) Rios, Gracie (Orlando) Melendez, 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, a brother, Jose Elizondo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
