Pearline “Pop” Turner was born to the late George and Mabelean William Turner.  She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at the Huntsville Hospital.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with the Macedonia C. P. Church in America under the leadership of the late Reverend Frank Moore. She was a member of the Sunday School, Gospel Choir and the Women’s Ministry.  She loved coming to church with her special chauffer, her nephew Kerry Sutherlin.

Pearline was a graduate of Lakeside High School class of 1961. She was employed by the Decatur City Schools at Austin High School for thirty-three years. She was an active member of the Alabama Education Association-ESPO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Hattie Ardell Easley; brother Julius “Pap” Turner.

Pearline’s memory will forever be in the hearts of her children: Vickie (Bruce) Smith, of Decatur, Craig (Alicia) Turner of Mobile, AL, Keith (Yolanda) Turner of Decatur, and Calvert “Cabbage” Turner of the Philippines; sisters, Charcey Sutherlin, Georgette McDaniel and Pauline Lanier all of Decatur; brother, George (Comelia Ann) Turner of Decatur; grandchildren, Nikema, Keith Jr., Sealethel, Joshua, Sierra, Calvert Jr., Sheika, Brando, Sonisha, Keisha and Je’Anna; six great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Patricia Turner of Nashville, TN, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, a devoted niece and nephew, Carolyn Sutherlin and Joseph Sutherlin and the and the Macedonia Church Family.
