Pearl Perry, age 80, of Rensselaer, passed away on March 16, 2020 at Methodist Hospital Southlake. She was born October 22, 1939, in Dunlow, WV, the daughter of Charles & Polly (Marcum) Ferguson.
Pearl attended Crum High School in Crum, West Virginia. She married Samuel Perry, Sr. on November 12, 1957 in Jenny’s Creek, WV. He preceded her in death on September 30, 2012.
Pearl was a member at Wheatfield Pentecostal Church of God and involved in the Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed thrift shopping and finding good deals. She also liked challenging herself by doing puzzles, word searches and other games.
Pearl loved spending time with her family the most. Holidays and family reunions were her favorite times with family.
Pearl is survived by her children: Kathy (Stanley) Watson of Scottsville, KY; Denise “Bonnie” Marshall of Rensselaer, IN; Samuel (Jocelyn) Perry, Jr. of Crown Point, IN; Charles Kevin Perry of Rensselaer, IN; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; brother, Curtis Ferguson; and sister, Sue Francis.
Pearl is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Ricky Perry; son-in-law, Robert Marshall; and granddaughter, Amy Grant; 9 brothers and 1 sister. Due to current health concerns all services will be private.
