After many years as a farmer, in 1969 Pearl and Ephren moved their large family to Michigan to establish better job opportunities. Pearl was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. Although Pearl attended some school in Haugh, Ark., she was not able to read and write.
In 1969, at age 51, through her diligent effort in studying the Bible, Pearl learned to read and write well, which later led to the dedication of her life in 1971 as a baptized servant of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Since that time Pearl has remained a faithful and loyal servant of Jehovah.
