PEARL W. CHANDLER, 92, Hillsboro resident passed away Wednesday February 29, 2012 at Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Pearl was born November 13, 1919 in Houston, Texas to Edith E. Maillot and Olva S. Wiley. She was a New Mexico resident since 1976 coming from Stephenville, Texas. She was a rancher, member of Hillsboro Community Church, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Daughters of the Confederacy, was an great gardener, enjoyed cooking, sewing, photography and reading. She had an extensive library at her home. Pearl was also an avid genealogist. She was very devoted to her church and had played the piano at the church for many years

Survivors include 2 sons, Clyde Chandler and wife Kay of Hillsboro, Douglas Chandler and wife Carol of Houston, Texas; 2 daughters, Beth Quirl of Deleon, Texas, Jeanene Cleaver and husband Bruce of Atlanta, Georgia; 10 grandchildren, Trent Quirl, Holly Balnchette, Eric Quirl, Clint Chandler, Scott Chandler, Debbie Johnson, Dena Sitton, Greg Chandler, Dena Bartholomew, Steven Cleaver and numerous great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Olva and Edith Wiley, her husband, Maurice Chandler, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
