Paulisan C. Flatley, 69 of Forked River, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born to the late John Malmstrom and Elaine Stroman Malmstrom on February 28, 1950, in Paterson, New Jersey. Paulison was a devoted mother, loving wife, and trusted friend. In her youth, she was a proud member of the St. Brendan’s Cadets of Clifton & the St. Lucy’s Cadets of Newark.

She was a graduate of Eastside High School in Paterson NJ & a graduate of Edward Williams College of Teaneck NJ. She enjoyed her employment at the Ocean County Board of Health & Harrah’s of Atlantic City until her retirement in 2014. Paulisan was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys! Paulisan was a member of many different churches during her lifetime and Loved God and knew He was saving her a seat at His Table. She was a very strong and independent woman. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Paulisan is predeceased by her parents Elaine and George Day& John Malmstrom, husband, Vincent Flatley; and brother, George Day; and sister, Barbara Day.

Paulisan is survived by her daughter, Dawn D’Alessandro and her husband Eugene of Forked River; grandchildren, Angelina and Sydney D’Alessandro, brother, Halstead Day and his partner Tina Barber of Melbourne, Florida; cousins, Thomas M. Rulka and his wife Nancy of Toms River, Cathy Ann Wetzel and her husband George of Toms River.
