Pat was a graduate of Newton High School in 1947. On August 05, 1967 Pat was united in marriage to John T. Fryer in Newton.
Pat was a secretary for the Tool Engineering Department at the Maytag Company for 32 years, retiring in 1986.
Pat was a member of the American Legion Post 111 Auxiliary. When Pat was young adult she was a country singer having sung at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines, Iowa. She had also cut several records. Pat also enjoyed telling jokes and she loved animals especially dogs and horses.
