Pauline E. Surratt, 79, of Jacksonville, died Monday, March 10, 2014, at her home. She was born Apr. 15, 1934, in Meredosia, the daughter of Paul and Katherine Davis Floyd. She married Russell Earl Surratt on Aug. 29, 1969, in Literberry and he preceded her in death on Mar. 4, 2002.
She is survived by one sister, Jenny White of Jacksonville; seven stepchildren; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather Gene Deeder; one sister, Darlene Helms; and a brother, Louis Floyd.
Mrs. Surratt worked as a supervisor at J. Capps & Sons in Jacksonville for many years. She enjoyed yard work, canning, yard sales, and her pet dogs. Pauline especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
