PAULINE DELORES (WHIRLEDGE) MYERS LEFT TO MEET HER LORD AND HER DEAR HUSBAND JAMES ON Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 10:28 am at 93 years old. She passed peacefully with her family by her side.  Pauline was born on April 27, 1923 in Millersburg, Indiana.  She graduated from Millersburg High School in 1941.  She served during World War II on the home front at Penn Electric.  She was married to James Leonard Myers on September 8, 1946 in Millersburg, Indiana.  She was proud to earn her “PhT” (pushing hubby through) degree during his college education at Michigan State University.  She began her career as a wife and mother in Crystal Falls, Michigan and moved to the Big Rapids area in the fall of 1955.  Devoted mother and community volunteer, she spent many years providing a positive influence as a 4H leader, Sunday school teacher, and ceramics instructor.  She opened her home for ceramic classes for many years for friends and relatives to express their creativity.  She was active in her church choir, managed church collections for 50 + years with her husband, and directed children’s choirs.

Pauline is survived by her brother Paul Whirledge, brother-in-law Dave Myers, her son Randall (Deborah) Myers, daughters Roberta (Denny) Pennock, and Brenda (Dennis) Stein; Grandchildren Jacob (Maggie) Myers, Joseph (Amanda Murillo) Myers, Amy (Philip) Martin, Wendy Pennock, Stephen Pennock, Daniel (Jess) Pennock, Nicole (Andy) Brown, Kristen Stein; Six Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Myers, her parents Orlando and Lottie Whirledge, her sister Lanetia (Walter) Stutsman, and sister-in-law Margaret Whirledge.

Pauline was a faithful servant to her Lord and family, award winning cook, and known for her delicious cookies.
