Pauline Cook Gary, 95, passed from this world and into God’s arms peacefully on January 2, 2016. Mrs. Gary was born on her family farm near Oxford, Mississippi on January 11, 1920. She was the third child of Richard E. Cook and Mary B. Cook. After graduation from Taylor High School in 1938 Pauline moved to Memphis where she met her husband of 45 years, Phil Gary. They were blessed with two children, three grandchildren and four . Gary retired from Baptist Memorial Hospital Business Office after 36 years of service. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Phil I. Gary; her parents Richard E.. Left to cherish her memory are her children and their spouses, her daughter, Phyllis Treffinger and husband Bill of Ft. Mill, South Carolina and her son Bill Gary and wife Lori of Batesville, Mississippi.. Pauline will be buried next to her husband in the church cemetery where several generations of her family are at rest.
