Mrs. Pauline Brown Lomax departed this life on August 9, 2023 peacefully at her home, which she shared with her wonderful loving husband, Mr. Willie Wade Lomax. She was born on September 21, 1961 in McCormick, SC to the late Herbert “Bill” Brown and the late Josephine Kelly Brown.

She was a 1982 graduate of McCormick High School. After high school she became the mother of a beautiful daughter Ms. Ashley N. Brown and the following year to a handsome son Mr. Laquentin M. Smith, both of McCormick, SC. She also has a stepson, Mr. Kevin O. Bryant of Calhoun Falls, SC.

 She was a supervisor at Crider’s Chicken Poultry where she worked for many years and made many friends. When she left Crider’s, she became a bus driver for the McCormick School District where she worked for many years. She completed the CNA program at Piedmont Technical College and began working at McCormick Nursing Home and Magnolia Manor where she retired in 2007.

She was a beloved and active choir member at Tranquil AME Church in Bradley, SC.

 She was one of the most caring and kind hearted people that you could ever meet. She was big on family, because she came from a big family of three sisters, Gladys Harrison of McCormick, SC, Brenda Kelly of Long Island, NY, Mary Jane Kelly Mikell of Philadelphia, PA, three brothers, Albert (Annie) Brown, Willie (Ann) Brown, Andrew (Evelyn) Brown, all of McCormick, SC, a godbrother, Melvin (Sandra) Norman of Lincolnton, GA, six grandchildren,  two great grandchildren, a host  aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends and a host of special friends at DaVita Dialysis.

Preceding her in death were six sisters, Betty Brown, Kathleen Morgan, Joe Frances Brown, Sarah Brown, Barbara Timpson and Mary Brown Callaham and four brothers, James Leroy Brown, James Kelly, James Herbert Brown and John L. Brown.
