Paulette Kay Briggs, 73, of Des Moines, passed away quietly at home Thursday morning September 22, 2016. She was born August 28, 1943 in Rolfe, Iowa daughter of Luella and James Winters.
Paulette had a love for gambling, card games and going to garage sales.
She met Roy Jr in Pocahontas, Iowa. Later she moved to Williamson, Iowa. She married Roy Jr on April 4, 1963 in Jay, Oklahoma. After being married they moved to Altoona then Waukee. Finally, they moved to Chariton where they had 2 boys Jeff and Charlie (Todd). After both boys graduated from high school Paulette and Roy Jr moved to Des Moines where they spent the next 30 years.
Paulette is survived and lovely remembered by her Husband of 53 years, Roy Jr; Sons, Jeff of Des Moines and Charlie (Susanne) of Des Moines; Grandchildren, Alaina Briggs, Josh Kline, Amanda Kline and Kayla Kline all of Des Moines; Brothers, Jerry (Carol) Winters of Cedar Rapids and Larry Winters of Des Moines; Sisters, Jolene (Lamont) Winters of Des Moines and Carolyn (Ralph) Vahrenkamp of Alvin, Texas.
