Paula Norero, 88, of Sherman passed away on Friday, January 13, 2017, at her residence. Paula was born on March 2, 1928 in Porterville, CA to Jose and Dolores Prado. Paula married Samuel Norero in 1950. In 1954 they started and owned Sammy Norero Trucking Company until 1971 in Los Angeles, CA. After that, they moved to San Juan, and owned the The Valley Store. Paula worked at

K-Mart for 17 years and then retired. She was very active in the community as a TOPS member, Mimbres Booster Club, Harvest Festival, Senior Citizen Center and other community programs. She was a communicant of the Catholic Church.

Paula is survived by her two sons, Robert S. Norero (Rose) and Michael Norero (Terrie); one daughter, Paula Holguin (Leroy Holguin); ten grandchildren, Pamela Castillo, Robert Norero Jr., Stephanie Norero, Marsha Norero, Melissa Norero, Marla Norero, Jeremy Norero, Cynthia Norero, Corrina Valencia and Angel Holguin; 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Dolores Prado; her husband Samuel Norero in 1988; sisters, Juanita Cordova and Ramona Silva; brother Merced Prado; grandson, Steven Paul Norero and her beloved princess doggie and faithful companion of three years passed away with Paula at her side.
