Mrs. Paula Sherrill Howard, 64 of Newnan, passed away Friday, October 21, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born July 23, 1952 in Kinston, NC to Doye Sherrill & the late Frances Griffin Sherrill. Paula was an active member of Trinity Baptist Church where she was active in many ministries. She touched the lives of many young people during her 25 years of driving a school bus for the Coweta County School System. Her dedication to the students who rode her bus did not end when they were dropped off-annually she volunteered to assist the students at the Coweta County Special Olympics. In February 2014, the doctors told her she had 3 to 6 months to live but she proved them wrong and valiantly battled cancer for another year and eight months. Survivors include husband, Larry Howard; children, Paul Garrett, Tim (Lori) Garrett, Beverly (Johnny) Helton, Brandon Howard; father, Doye Sherrill; grandchildren, Lauren Veal, Cooper Garrett, Taylor Garrett, Sadie Diamond, Austin Powell, Kameryn Garrett, Ethan Garrett, Caroline Howard, Landon Howard; siblings, Dr. Sonny Sherrill, Doye Sherrill, Jr., Theresa Saunders.
