Paula JoAnn Hunter, age 78, of Lake Station, IN, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2020, at Life Care Center of Valpariso, IN.
She was born October 20, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Thomas and Alice (Howisen) Waugaman. Paula attended DeMotte Schools, and became a meat wrapper for Strack and VanTil for over 15 years. Her greatest passion was quilting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons: Edward (Gloria) Ooms of Lake Station, IN, James (Cheryl) Ooms of Richmond Hills, GA and Daughter: Sandy (Scott) Baldwin of West Portsmouth, OH. Paula is also survived by her 8 grandchildren and 7 Great-Grandchildren. Her sisters: Mary (Art) Sluder of Little Rock, AR, Dee Sills of Merrillville, IN, Peggy (Paul) Santos of Anderson, SC, Janice (Jim) Mathews of Salt Lake City, UT, Carol McCullough, Hobart, IN, and a brother, Thomas (Karen) Waugaman of Gary, IN.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and two husbands.
