Paula Frances (Hamm) Russo, 70, of Middletown, wife of Carmelo G. Russo, passed away on Saturday, November 15th at her home. Born on February 6, 1938 in Simsbury, she was the daughter of the late Harrison and Frances (McLaughlin) Hamm. Paula was a longtime resident of Simsbury, recently moving to Middletown to be closer to her family. She was raised in and went to school in Simsbury, and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree from Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. She worked for the VNA in Hartford before moving to Watertown, CT and later Delmar, NY to raise her family. In 1995, Paula moved back to her family’s home in Simsbury and was active for many years in Civitan and the Garden Club.
