Paula D. Barnes, 46, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 10, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Paula was born on December 22, 1973 in Franklin, Indiana to Timothy Allen Cheatham and Marsha Barnes.

In Paula’s early school years she was involved in gymnastics and she was a cheerleader. Paula graduated from Med Tech college. She will always be known as an amazing care giver. Paula was an outgoing person that enjoyed being around others and fun to be around. She attended Baptist Temple and really enjoyed Bible Trivia.

Paula had a natural gift of playing the piano by ear. Paul Granato, of Queens, New York, from the band Tommy James and The Shondells was visiting at Marsha’s house at the time, while he was walking past Paula playing, “Just As I Am” on the piano, Paul stopped in his tracks and loudly said, “She is Talented.”

Paula was preceded in death by grandparents, Aubra Barnes and Maerean Barnes; Michael D. Barnes, and Judith E. Meyer.

Paula is survived by her parents; her daughter, Naomi Hillenburg, of Indianapolis; her uncle, Michael Allen Barnes; her sister, Jessica (Tony) DiMizo, of Greenwood, Indiana; her aunt, Kathy Catt; her uncle, Stephen Barnes; several loved ones and friends.
