Paul Warren Jeffers, 90, of Glen Carbon, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Paul was born on August 18, 1931, in Steelville, IL to Jerome and Violet Jeffers (nee Boyd).

Paul was a proud member of the American Legion Post 480 for 67 years after serving in the United States Army. He was also a member of the “Hardee’s Breakfast Club,” where he enjoyed meeting with his friends for coffee every weekday morning. Paul was an active man who didn’t like to sit still for long. He loved being outdoors; especially hunting, fishing, and working in his vegetable garden. He always enjoyed watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball. Paul was an excellent handyman who enjoyed fixing things around his house, and he even made a small tool shop in his basement for woodworking.

Paul was very devoted to his family. He was a proud grandfather and was known as “Uncle Nug” by all his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Jerome and Violet Jeffers (nee Boyd); his beloved wife, Evelyn Jeffers (nee Bryan); and his three brothers, Wayne Jeffers, Merle Jeffers, and Jack Jeffers. Paul is survived by his daughter, Jackie (Nathan) Postlewait of Godfrey, IL; three grandchildren, Matthew Parks of Glen Carbon, IL, Ryan Postlewait of Godfrey, IL, and Jamie Postlewait of Godfrey, IL; along with many nieces and nephews.
