Paul Willford Carter, age 82, of Pearson, Georgia passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 in his home.
Mr. Carter was born on July 29, 1938 in Douglas, Georgia the son of the late James “Jim” Roy Carter and Pearlie Lee Carter.
Being born into a family coming up in the age of the Great Depression drove Paul Carter to work hard and Value education in such a way that he could provide enough for his beloved family. Mr. carter eventually retired (but never really rested) as a general contractor with the State of Florida after more than 35 years working in construction.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his “little hen”, Willene Carter, a brother, Roy Carter, and his half-brothers and sisters, Kermit Carter, Ethamae Carter, Wimmish Carter, Berry Carter, Genell Douglas, Jesse Carter, Ovalee Carter, Ethel Musgrove, Troy Carter, Jimmy Carter, and Olene Dennison.
Survivors who must now carry on his legacy include his son, Stanley Norris Carter (wife Susan); daughter, “little biddy” Renee Carter Stoun (husband Doug); three granddaughters, Sarah Sacharski (husband Scott), Alisha Stoun (husband Carlo), and Jessica Guy (husband Cecil); great grandchildren, Roberto and Sylvie Mosca; two brothers, Noah Carter and Donald Carter; one sister, Betty Jo Westberry; several nieces and nephews.
Music selection will be “Lord I Need You”, Great is Thy Faithfulness” and “In Christ Alone” sung by Sarah Roeber. Sarah Roeber played prelude and postlude music on the piano.
