PERRY – Paul Valcarce our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather passed away on Easter morning March 27, 2016. It is with great sadness that we had to say goodbye after complications due to surgery.
Paul was born in Brigham City to Avonia and Casiano Valcarce on December 20, 1931. He was the 7th in line of 8 children. Paul’s hard work ethic started as a child working at Idle Isle and then as a paper carrier at the Bushnell Hospital. He was proud that he could earn money at such a young age. This work ethic continued and influenced him until the end of his life. His children and grandchildren learned many life skills and a strong work ethic from him. He met the love of his life, Karrol Jean Pett and married in Brigham City. Paul and Karrol started out in Los Angeles where he was a landscaper for the L.A. Temple. They had their son Robert and daughter Cheryl.
Paul later moved the family to Reno, NV where he was the produce manager for the Eagle Thrifty Stores. Paul was very successful and was one of the first to put the produce at the front of the stores.
Paul and Karrol later moved the family back to Utah, where they settled in Perry. Paul went back to farming and running a Produce business.
Paul leaves behind his wife Karrol, children: Robert (Diane); Cheryl (John); Ron (Becky); Kevin; Maria (Peter); Paul; Jim (Tauni); grandchildren: Colter, Cade, and Nicole, Gable, Chris, Gaven, Drake, Conner, Andrea, Karen, Hannah, Emma Rose, Logan, Joseph, Karl, Isabella, Duke and great-grandchild Eli Cade. Also siblings: Edward, John and Ann.
Special thanks to Gonzalo Sr. Munoz Paul’s Farm Manager for over 25 years.
