Paul V. Calabrese, 90, of Berkeley Twp., NJ, died on Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at his home. Paul was born in Long Branch, NJ, and lived there until moving to Berkeley Twp., NJ, 18 years ago. He proudly served his country in the US Marine Corp. during WWII as a field cook, and was certified as a sharpshooter. Paul was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church. He was an avid golfer who began his lifelong golf career at the young age of 9. He was also a die-hard Giants fan.

Paul began his career as a technician and advanced to become sales and service manager at Oil Delivery Inc. His commitment lasted 41 years following graduation from Long Branch HS and Lincoln Technical Institute. Lawes Company acquired Oil Delivery Inc. in October 1988 and their long relationship with a wonderful person began. Paul helmed their sales department whereas he utilized his technical knowledge of heating and cooling systems and the oil industry. He represented the spirit and nature of the Lawes Company at a level to which they continue to strive. His honesty and passion formed a great bond with their customers and his co-workers.

His unusual and innate charisma was special. In 2000 he started to wind down his hours but remained always available for anything through 2005. He mentored his replacements and covered vacations, etc. for a number of years. After retirement, Paul continued to visit Lawes, and he always left with everyone smiling. Paul is predeceased by his wife Adeline Calabrese; his parents Paul and Mary Calabrese; and his siblings Salvatore Calabrese, Christine Gizzi, Theresa Francese and Joseph Calabrese.

He is survived by his children Ralph Calabrese and his wife Barbara of W. Long Branch, NJ; Mary Jo Williams and her husband Jeff of Centennial, CO; Paula Granit and her husband Brian of Ocean, NJ; and Anthony Calabrese and his wife Lisa of Jackson, NJ; his six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
