Schneider,Paul Thomas, 60, of Ridgewood died suddenly on March 10. He was a life-long resident of Ridgewood, where he graduated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel grammar school, and Ridgewood High School, class of 1974, where he played Varsity basketball, and Virginia Commonwealth University. He was self-employed as a painter. His sensitive, caring nature made him a beloved brother and uncle. He was kind and helpful, and most appreciative of the kindness of others to him. Paul was extremely proud of his Irish heritage. He especially loved the beautiful Irish countryside and the warmth of the Irish people. On a recent trip to Ireland, he teased the cousins that he would someday be back to live with them!
Paul will be greatly missed by his devoted family: sisters Patricia Durante and husband John of Franklin Lakes; Marita Drivanos and husband Nicholas of Mahwah; brothers Robert Schneider and Liz Cohen of Little Egg Harbor; Jeff Schneider and wife Lisa of Brooklyn; Michael Schneider and wife Lynn of Waldwick.
Paul was a favorite uncle to Catherine Owens and husband Buddy of Mooresville, NC, Margaret Durante Dufreney and husband Xavier of NYC, John Anthony Durante, Gretchen, Max, and Michael Schneider, Claire Clark and husband Brent, Alex Drivanos, Darcy and Matthew Schneider. He also leaves behind four great-nieces and nephews and 55 cousins.
Paul was predeceased by his loving parents Beatrice and Chester Schneider, his beloved niece Colleen Beatrice Drivanos and nephew Andrew Joseph Durante.
