Paul Syndusky Eaton, 80, Anderson, died October 15, 2003 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. He was born January 30, 1923 in Oaklandon, Indiana, and was a resident of this area for most of his life. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors as a winder operator in Plant 3 in 1976 after 35 years of service.
He was a member of the UAW Local #662. He was a friend to everyone. He is survived by his wife whom he married October 18, 1946, Dorothy Toops Eaton; daughter, Barbara & husband Randy Hummel of Anderson; two grandchildren, Joseph Hummel and Jennifer Hummel Carlos & husband Glenn; one great grandchild, Jonathon Andrew Carlos; sister-in-law, Maxine Eaton; brother-in-law, Darrell Toops; several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the St. John’s Chaplains, Dr. George Agapios and all the nurses who provided care for him.
He was preceded by his parents,Chalmer & Sophia Adams Eaton; four brothers, Earl Eaton, Max Eaton, Leroy Eaton and Robert Eaton; six sisters, Catherine Hilligoss, Helen Hobbs, Ruby Eaton, Audrey Carey, Uva Mae Comstock and Joan Eaton and two nieces, Marilyn Richardson and Nancy Imhof.
