Paul Richard Kirkpatrick, age 75, a resident of Albuquerque since 1954, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, August 27, 2022. He is survived by sons, John Kirkpatrick and wife Jasmine Kirkpatrick, Anthony R. Kirkpatrick and wife, Elizabeth Kirkpatrick, brother Allen Kirkpatrick and wife, Pam Kirkpatrick; sister, Jane Roach and husband, Warren Roach; nephew, Rick Kirkpatrick; niece, Leslie Jacot-Guillarmod and husband, Isaiah Jacot-Guillarmod; nephew, Christopher Roach and wife Lena Roach; niece, Laura Roach; and nephew, Michael Roach. Paul was predeceased in death by his parents, Richard and Edith Kirkpatrick; and wife Jeri Kirkpatrick.

Paul was born on Saturday, July 12, 1947, in Denver, CO. He lived in Albuquerque, for the majority of his life, graduating from Sandia High School in 1965, and then serving in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he worked at a Triumph motorcycle shop, and also taught motorcycle safety. Paul eventually became a teacher of surveying and math for 20 years at the New Mexico Technical Vocational Institute (TVI), now named the Community College of New Mexico (CCNM).

Paul loved motorcycles and would often be seen on the streets of Albuquerque on his Triumph (which required about as much repair time as it did ride time).

Paul was married to Jeri McPhail on Sunday, August 26, 1979, and became an amazing father to his twin boys John and Anthony. Paul was an avid reader and a teacher, both by profession and personality, and never missed the opportunity to pass on wisdom and his knowledge on many subjects.

He will be missed dearly, but his lessons will live on in his family members and the thousands of students he had the honor of teaching.
