Paul Ray “Pop” Nunn, age 77, passed March 1 in his hospital bed in Fort Walton Beach, FL. Pop was born March 10, 1938 in Henderson, KY to Paul B. Nunn and Dulcie McElroy. He is preceded in death by his parents and 2 brothers; Marion David and Charles. His sister, Kathy Tigue lives in Henderson, KY.
Pop is survived by his children, Susan Golden of Houston; Alan and his wife Denise of Omaha; Tresa Fritz of Fort Walton Beach and Charles Nunn and his wife Lisa from Nashville. His former wife and caretaker Pauline Nunn lives in Fort Walton Beach. Pop’s grandchildren are, C.J.; Shannon; Sean; Courtney; Charlie; Henry; Lilly, Amanda and D.J. He also has 6 great grandchildren.
Pop served in the U.S. Air Force for more than 20 years. After retiring in Florida he drove a Taxi, delivered auto parts and worked on Destin fishing boats. He loved to garden, fish and take his metal detector to the beach. He could be seen riding his scooter all over town.
