Paul R. Bower, 95, of 329 Bower Road, died Monday, May 30, 2011, at his home.
Paul was a self-employed farmer and loved farming. He had worked at the former Lycoming Mills and retired in 1977 after 12 years with the Williamsport Area School District.
Paul was a member and former trustee of Maple Springs United Methodist Church and enjoyed singing.
Born March 7, 1916, in the family home where he had lived all of his life, he was the son of George J. and Laura E. Kinley Bower.
Surviving are a daughter, Phyllis J. (John) Fritz of Williamsport; grandchildren, Raymond (Pat) Bower, Randy (Donna) Bower, Kimberly (Ron) Poorman and Tammy (Mark) Taylor; and eight great-grandchildren.
Paul was predeceased by his wife, the former Lena G. Hafer in 1998, and a son, Daniel D. Bower in 1993.
