Paul Mirmina, 77, of Plainville, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2008, surrounded by his family at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain. He was the beloved husband of Theresa (Albert) Mirmina, with whom he shared 55 years of love and devotion.
Paul was born in New Britain on June 21, 1931, one of six children to the late Frank and Julia (Varano) Mirmina. Upon graduation from New Britain High School, he joined the United States Air Force, serving his country for four years during the Korean War.
In addition to his wife, Theresa, he leaves his children, Francis Mirmina and his wife, Jackie of Jacksonville, FL., Paul Mirmina, Jr. of Plainville, and Julie Mirmina of S.C.; his beloved grandchildren, Shannon, Francis, Jr., Christina, Angelina, Kalia, Maile, and Daniel; his sister Santina Carino and her husband, Joe of S. Windsor; his brother, Frank Mirmina, Jr and his wife, Margaret of Southington; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Daniel Mark Mirmina; his brother, Joseph Mirmina; and his sisters, Grace Rametta and Angelina Ezzo.
