Paul McGrath Brown, 67, of LaSalle passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at his home.
Mr. Brown was born September 6, 1951 in Gardner, MA to Clayo and Marcia (Robbins) McGrath. He married Ida Brown on July 31, 1993 in Virginia Beach, VA.
Mr. Brown was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He worked as a maintenance mechanic for nearing 40 years and received his industrial maintenance certificate from Illinois Valley Community College.
He worked at Metokote in Peru and Riverfront Machine in Spring Valley. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He took a different road in life and lived by the saying, “free your mind and your ass will follow”.
Survivors include his wife, Ida; three daughters, Nicole (Trent Shirley) McGrath, Rachael (Peter Ciparelli) McGrath and Eileen (Jeremiah) Hedberg all of the New England area; one son, Joshua (Amanda) Brown of Peru; seven grandchildren, Michael, Gabe, William, Alex, Evan, Ryannen and Sabrina; three sisters, Marcia “Dottie” (Herman) Wuoti, Mary Whipple and Natalie Smith all of the New England area; one brother, Robert (Elizabeth) Orlowski of Switzerland and several nieces and nephews, including Ellen (Robert) Smith of the New England area. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Vincent Orlowski and two brothers-in-law, Warren Carroll and Ernest Whipple.
