Paul Longine Gawlak, 92, of Middlefield, husband of Irene (Odette) Gawlak, passed away on Thursday, March 3rd at Middlesex Health Care Center. Born in Middletown, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary Gawlak. Paul lived in Middlefield most of his life, was a member of Pine Street Gospel Chapel, and was employed by Jackson Corrugated for thirty years. He was a veteran serving in the 112th Horse Calvary Regimental Combat Team, part of the 6th ARMY in WWII. He was a life member of the Shea Clarke #7 DAV and a member of St. John Lodge #2 AF & AM. Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother, John Gawlak of Stamford and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters.
