Mr. Paul Leonard Fox Jr., 75, of Statesville, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 14, 2022, at VA Liberty Lane Hospice following a period of declining health.
Mr. Fox was born May 26, 1947, in Iredell County and was the son of the late Paul Leonard Fox Sr. and Elizabeth Clementine Propst Fox.
He attended Cool Spring High School and continued his education studying Liberal Arts at UNCC Charlotte and Mitchell Community College. He was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps and veteran of the Vietnam War. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as his friends and family will attest.
Mr. Fox was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Statesville. He worked in textiles and retired from Jockey International where he was a supervisor.
On Nov. 17, 1979, he was married to Teresa Jean Parsley Fox, who preceded him in death on Dec. 30, 2017.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Fox was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Diane Gilbert and infant brother Donald L. Fox.
Mr. Fox is survived by a daughter, Amanda Jean Fox; his two grandchildren, Brandy Leigh Fox Madison and Kayla Elizabeth Swicegood and a brother Ronald Lynn Fox.
