Paul Lee Powell, 65, of 608 Boyd St. Reidsville went to be with the Lord Tuesday December 8, 2015 at the Hospice Home of Rockingham County.
A native of Rockingham County, he was a son of Shirley Trent Pierce and the late Herman Lee Powell and had lived most of his life in Rockingham County. Paul was a painter and was the owner operator of Powell Painting Company. He was an avid fisherman, and a former member of the Reidsville Jaycees and the Southern Rodeo Association. He was preceded in death by his step-brother Roger Pierce.
Survivors include: sons: Paul Lee Powell, II of Eden, Elijah Justin Powell and wife Rebecca Lynn of Madison, four grandchildren, his mother and step-father: Shirley Trent Pierce and husband Bobby of Reidsville, special nephew: Brandon Powell of Greensboro, brothers: Phillip Powell and wife Wendy of Reidsville, Mark Powell and wife Karen of Richmond, VA, sister: Lisa Powell Al-Qimlass and husband Waleed of Greensboro, half-sister: Shay Pierce Johnson and husband Mark of Reidsville, step-brother: David Pierce of Reidsville, step-sister: Wendy Pierce Cook and husband Calvin of Reidsville, and a number of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
