Paul L. Wilson, 73, of Oglesby, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Mr. Wilson was born May 17, 1947, in Macomb to Bennie and Hazel (Coats) Wilson. He was a graduate of East High School in Rockford. Mr. Wilson was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War. He worked as a draftsman at Sunstrand for several years and then began a career as a computer programmer, working in China. Recently, he returned to the area and continued his work remotely.
Survivors include his former wife, Ruthie Wilson of Ames, IA; two sons Christopher Wilson and Kevin (Nicole) Wilson both of Ames, IA; two grandchildren, Reese and Logan; two sisters, Janet (Tom) Redshaw of Oglesby and June Dimery of Milan, TN; one brother, Donald Wilson of Oglesby and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Bennie Wilson, and his wife, Linda; a sister-in-law, Linda Wilson, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Dimery.
