Paul L. Jabs, 92, of Bristol, widower of Helen (Stachelek) Jabs, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Bristol Hospital.
He was born April 22, 1916 in Bristol, son of the late Adam and Adelgunda (Blank) Jabs. A lifelong resident of Bristol, he had served as a Technical Sergeant with the U.S. Army in the South Pacific during World War II. He had worked for the former New Departure-Hyatt and was also a letter carrier for the Bristol office of the U.S.
He is survived by his son, Thomas Paul Jabs and his wife, Ann of Loveland, OH; his two daughters, Elaine Pearl and her husband, Douglas of Forestville and Patricia Crowley and her husband, Patrick of Forestville; his five grandchildren, Keith Furniss and his wife, Jacquelyn, Kathryn Beaudin and her husband, Adam, Alexandra Jabs, Adam Jabs, and Aidan Jabs, his three great-grandchildren, Alexa, Katelynn and Jack Furniss; his sister, Nora Lundski of Bristol; several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Mildred Jabs.
