Paul L. Elza, age 71, of Steger, IL, passed away peacefully July 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by family and friends.
Survived by his son: Richard (Kelly) Elza; daughters: Pat, Dorothy, and Rose; His girlfriend Kathy Gregg; former wife Amy Veldkamp. Brothers: Bill, Robert, and the late Keith Elza; sisters: Ann Simmons and Faye Stonebreaker; Many grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and an overabundance of special friends. Preceded in death by his parents Fleming and Dorothy Elza; son: Kevin; grandson: Richard Elza Jr. and granddaughter Katarina Elza.
Paul was born August 9, 1943 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He was a maintenance mechanic at Century Steel for 25 years. Paul had an affinity for the game of pool. Those who knew him can’t deny that he loved all there is to know about pool, more than life itself. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and loved ones.
