Paul Joseph Kleinsasser, 70, of Elk Creek Colony, died of lung failure, Friday, November 9, 2012, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Paul was born on May 26, 1942, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada to Joseph and Susie Kleinsasser. He was only 5 years old when the family moved to Milford Colony, Augusta, Montana where he resided until February of 2011. From there he moved to Elk Creek Colony and resided there until his passing.

Paul was a professional hog manager for a lot of years at the Milford Colony, always striving to do the best he could for the good of his colony. When his health failed him and he resigned from his hog manager’s position, he continued to serve his colony wherever help was needed, to the best of his ability.

Paul married Annie J. Hofer from Rose Town Colony, Saskatchewan, Canada on December 13, 1970. They had a happy life together until March 21, 2001, when Paul lost his beloved wife to cancer. They had one child, a son, Ted, who also resides at the Elk Creek Colony with his wife, Rebecca, and their four children.

Paul married his present wife, Esther Hofer, on December 11, 2005. She hails from Alliance, Alberta, Canada. During these past few years of Paul’s health failing progressively, Esther has been there for him and never left his side, especially during the past few months.

Paul is survived by his wife, Esther; his son Ted (Rebecca) and their four children, Ted Jr, Tyler, Marianne, and Amy; his four brothers, Willliam, John, Peter of Elk Creek Colony and Joseph of Hidden Lake Colony; his four sisters, Magdalena Hofer of Springdale Colony, Susie Wipf of Riverview Colony, Annie Hofer of Milford Colony, and Mary Wipf of Martinsdale Colony; numerous nieces and nephews and countless friends from all over.

He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph J. and Susie Kleinsasser; and his first wife Annie.

Everyone that ever knew Paul had a friend for life. He will be missed immensely by all.
