Paul Kirby Nicodemus passed away on November 12, 2021.

He was born April 27, 1928 son of Arthur Clay and Sophia Nicodemus in Des Moines. He was a member of the U.S. Marine Corps and served in WWII from 1946 to 1948 and also served in the Korean War from 1950 to 1953 where he was awarded two purple hearts for combat injuries sustained while in service to our country.

He was married to Alice Shuff on Oct. 12, 1952. She passed away in September 1994. He lived in Des Moines until he married Donna Wagner on March 28, 1998, and moved to her hometown in Coon Rapids Iowa.

He graduated from Roosevelt high school in Des Moines and then went to work in multiple printing facilities before getting a job working for the United StatesPostal Service, from which he retired in 1990. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the American Legion in Coon Rapids and he loved playing cards, pool, golf, bowling, and spending time with family.

He is survived by his wife Donna, his daughter Paula, three step-children, Diane, Denise, and David, three grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
